About the owner/instructor, Karen Smith.

The Full Story
Even as a small child I was always drawn to animals however, overwhelmingly to horses! It may be due to an over active portion of the brain which causes us horse lovers to be addicted to the sounds, smells, and feel of the horse. Walking into a barn has an immediate soothing effect on us creating a lifelong need to be near horses.
My father was a Navy man and due to traveling all over the world my parents were not able to give me my own horse. I was able to take lessons growing up and rent horses by the hour. At 18, while going to school and working part time at McDonald's, I rolled up the change I had been saving and bought my first horse for $200. There was no turning back! I have worked with and shown horses ever since.
Teaching riding lessons is my passion.
I find it to be the most rewarding way to
make a living I could have found and am
so thankful to have a job working with
people who love horses as much as I do!!!
